Lauryn is a classically trained pianist who started at the age of 5 under the tutelage of Ms. Elim Simeon. She was born and raised in a country rich with an artistic culture known as Indonesia. Movies also have a special place in Lauryn's heart. She composes film scores and short compositions out of fun to recreate various movie scenes with her own music. Lauryn aspires to be a film scorer to combine the best of both worlds with her own musical style and imagination.

During her school times, Lauryn has been the go-to pianist for big events such as festivals, Christmas, Easter and Independence Day. She has been asked to accompany the school choir, play along with the school orchestra and conduct the Independence day choir. While busying herself with school events, Lauryn has also joined competitions, ABRSM exams, won awards and played numerous repertoires of various genres.

Today, Lauryn is currently in her final year of study in the Hong Kong Baptist University (Hong Kong) with a full scholarship from HKSAR Belt and Road Indonesia. She has also recently received another scholarship called the Ir. Dr. Tsang Chi Wing Alex & Ms Chan Wai Fong Doris Scholarship. She is a music major concentrating in composition and minoring in film. She was under the tutelage of Dr. Yoonjung (Yoonie) Han for a year for her piano performance. Currently, her piano performance teacher is Ms. Linda Yim Chui Chu and her music technology and sound design instructor is Dr. Robert Ellis-Geiger. Lauryn is regularly searched for as a collaborative pianist by many instrumentalists and regularly plays chamber music. While balancing her performance life, Lauryn explores and experiments with new sounds and new music to expand her mind for fresher compositions. She produces songs and pieces regularly and shares them on her social media.

Lauryn has gained experience working as a music composer, sound engineer and sound designer in many different studios in Hong Kong such as Yellow Frog Media under Rob Porter, the founder (a recording engineer and ex-recording engineer in Andy Lau's studio) and Powermax Asia Ltd.

Lauryn is also frequently contacted to be the music composer, film scorer, sound designer and foley artist for various indie films, student films and animation projects. Lauryn along with her companions released a podcast called "Peak Boredom" podcast in 2020 where they invite guests to talk about interesting topics and get inspired by the people in their surroundings.

Aside from music, Lauryn is also a budding self-taught filmmaker and with her colleagues, creates music videos for her scores to combine both of her passions - music and film together. Lauryn also works as a video editor in many projects for enhancing her visual skill and one of the projects that she is working on involves creating a virtual reality exhibition displaying works by Carl Wilson. She is also currently working on the expanded cinema project with the Berlin Philharmonic and the Hong Kong government known as The Once and Future in which she is the assistant producer as well as the project executive producer for the project's prequel, Project Labyrinth. For Project Labyrinth, she made the adaptation in the form of a 360 immersive video.

Lauryn continues to compose regularly and is seeking opportunities in movie studios and the entertainment industry to share her compositions and integrate them with movies.
